It is with humility, gratitude, and a profound sense of duty that I stand before you today as your Grand Master. As we embark on 2025 with fellowship, reflection, and purpose, I am reminded of the strength that comes not from any single individual but from the collective will and unwavering dedication of the men in this room and the legacy of those who came before us.

As a Marine, I was taught that leadership is about service—service to the mission, to those under your care, and to the principles you have sworn to uphold. That same ethos underpins the foundation of Freemasonry. Just as the Marine Corps instilled in me the values of honor, courage, and commitment, so too has Prince Hall Masonry deepened my understanding of brotherly love, relief, and truth.

As we undergo transition and renewal, I want to take this opportunity to thank you, my brethren, for your trust and confidence. It is a sacred charge to lead this Grand Lodge, and I approach it with reverence and resolve.

Our fraternity is steeped in history, built upon the tireless efforts of men who envisioned a world where our values would shine as a beacon of hope and progress. My mission as your Grand Master is to honor that legacy while preparing us for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

As I travel this great state and visit our lodges, I see the incredible work you are doing—mentoring young men, supporting our communities, and living out the principles of Masonry in your daily lives. Yet, I also recognize areas where we must grow: strengthening our unity, enhancing our visibility, and ensuring that the next generation sees Prince Hall Masonry not only as an institution of the past but as a vital force for good in the present and future.

Focus Areas for the Year Ahead

1. Brotherhood and Retention

Our strength lies in our unity. I encourage each of you to recommit to the bonds of brotherhood, to reach out to a brother you haven’t seen in a while, and to ensure that no man in our fraternity feels forgotten.

2. Youth Engagement and Mentorship

As leaders, it is our duty to light the path for those who will follow. Through programs like mentorship and partnerships with community organizations, we must inspire young men to embrace the values of discipline, integrity, and service.

3. Community Impact

Freemasonry is not just about meetings within the walls of our lodges; it is about making a tangible difference in the world outside. Let us expand our charitable efforts, build bridges with other organizations, and ensure that our works are visible and impactful.

My brothers, as a Marine, I learned that every mission begins with a single step and that success is achieved through the collective effort of a dedicated team. I call on each of you to join me in the mission of strengthening this Grand Lodge.
