Fires and Resources for Fire Victims in LA County
As you all know, the fires in and around Los Angeles have devastated entire communities and impacted hundreds of thousands, including many members of our fraternal family.
We know hundreds of households of California Prince Hall Masons or widows in the affected areas. We reach out to ask for your support in aiding the victims of the devastating fires in Altadena and Pasadena. Over 1,000 individuals, including many elderly and children, are currently seeking shelter at the Pasadena Convention Center.
In this time of need, we have the opportunity to come together and provide comfort to our fellow Californians during these challenging days. Today and Friday, we will be collecting donations to help those affected. Below is a list of items that can make a significant difference:

211 LA/AirBnB.org: AirBnB.org, the nonprofit arm of AirBnB, is partnering with 211 LA to identify those directly impacted by the fires to connect them with free temporary housing. Fill out this intake form to get started.
Mutual Aid L.A. Resource Guide: This Spreadsheet is being updated with links to community-based resources including temporary housing, shelters, food pantries, and more.
FEMA Fire-Related Assistance: The Federal Emergency Management Agency can provide financial support to fire victims for food, water, baby formula, breast feeding supplies, medication and other emergency supplies, as well as housing needs while they find a more permanent housing solution.

Reach Out: Personally connect with members and widows you believe may be affected. Share assistance contact information and offer personal support where possible

Provide Supplies: If you’re in the LA County area, donate supplies like clothing, water, food, blankets, hygiene and first aid kits to lodges collecting relief items or trusted organizations such as the Red Cross or local fire departments.
